recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The advertised rate was $386 per night, but after all the hidden fees and unexpected charges, my total came to nearly $986 for just two nights. For that price, I expected at least a free airport shuttle, but the hotel instead quoted me 3500, which was unreasonable. I took an Uber instead and paid only 800, proving how inflated their prices were.
Additionally, meals were not included, and their boat ride prices were almost four times higher than what other local providers charge. Everything felt excessively overpriced and designed to extract as much money as possible from guests.
To put things in perspective, for my third night, I moved to a nearby hotel just a short distance away and paid only $25 for a much more authentic, comfortable, and welcoming stay. The difference in value and hospitality was astonishing.
Overall, I found this property to be a major disappointment and poor value for money. With nearly $1,000, I could have done something meaningful within the local community instead of overpaying for subpar services. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking honesty, comfort, or genuine hospitality in Varanasi.
