We stayed 4 nights at the end of April. The quality and finish of the apartment is excellent, you could tell it was restored with loving care and attention. Big, comfy beds, excellent bathrooms and a lovely terrace. The kitchen area is small, but adequate for breakfast - who eats in when in Venice?
The terrace has no canal view, but is really quiet and generally shaded - some morning sun only. We stayed in April and the shade was lovely, in summer it would be essential.
Location is fantastic - 5 minutes to San Marco, 5 minutes to Accademia, 10 minutes to Rialto, it literally could not be better for visitors wanting to explore the tourist highlights. Obviously everything in Venice is nearby, but having it on your doorstep was a bonus for novices like us.
Marta (the owner) is very welcoming and informative, she obviously cares about the property a lot.
Only a very minor problem - the air conditioning not working until the last morning. Maybe we did something wrong, and we didn't really need it after the first night, but we couldn't get it to work at all until we accidentally tripped the power (oops! grill + kettle was too much juice, Marta did warn us!). After we reset the fuseboard the air con came on full blast though!
I won't finish on a negative though, we really enjoyed our stay in this apartment, I'd have no hesitation recommending it to anyone looking for spacious, well-presented accommodation for 4 (or 3 or 2). First class.
