”Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us!
Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away.
Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve!
We will definitely return.”

”I had the bed, breakfast and dinner option, although there was a reduced menu for the option there was still a good selection, all of the food including the breakfast was fantastic. The room was a good size but the outdated and damaged furniture let it down slightly. The evening bar staff were above and beyond in the level of service i received. Will definitely stay here again”

”Very clean, comfortable, historic hotel. Staff and service second to none. I enjoyed my soak in the roll top bath. It is in a very busy restaurant/nightclub area with music from the neighbouring venues audible until early hours at the weekend but not overly intrusive. We would definitely stay again. ”

”Loved it. Beautiful room, clean tidy. The building is beautiful, loved the old world charm mixed with modern areas and facilities. The lounge was in a time warp. Breakfast was nice, staff were friendly and welcoming. Perfect location for us too. ”
