”The room is beautiful, the kitchen is big, the couch is comfortable, the bed was a little too firm for my old body but otherwise was great. The host was super nice, and answered promptly to all my questions. NOTE: if you need supplies get them from Hilo or get them before 5pm 'cause everything is closed early!!!”

”The place felt a little rundown and in need of maintenance. The toilet wasn’t even fixed to the wall, and the taps in the shower moved all the pipes when you turned them. Even the driveway (which was flooded due to rain, which can’t be helped) has low hanging dead tree fern fronds which scraped the top and side of the car everytime we went through. These should have been cut off, especially knowing everyone staying pretty much has a hire cars that needs returning in mint condition.It did look...

”Lemon Tree Lanai is an excellent place for vacationers who want a real Hawai'i rain forest experience without a lot of hype and "club-med" type extras. ”The cottage was very clean and full of household items ready for use. It's a good thing i wake up around 5am because there's a Brahma (seemed like it) rooster next door that helps with the wake up process, hehehe. No need to set your alarm on your phone. The place was breezy once I opened all the windows. Truly a Hawaii experience. Thank you host!”

”This place was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! We loved our very short stay so much. In fact, if we had to plan our big island trip all over again, we would have extended our stay at this beautiful gem tucked away in the jungle. How cool to be able to go from the front porch on a walk through steam vents, with information along the way about local flowers and plants.
