Abbiamo anche cenato sulla terrazza dell’hotel con vista del forte prendendo un pollo al limone non piccante perfetto dopo tanti giorni di cucina speziata. Anche la pulizia è ai livelli europei, una rarità in India. Unica pecca la stradina per arrivarci ma siamo in India e le strade sono queste. ”

Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!”

”we had a great stay at Gulab Haweli. Location matches the pictures and at a very good location for a great view of the Jaisalmer fort. Food ( thali) for dinner was excellent (flavor, quality, hospitality). Breakfast is by order (not buffet) hence can be a bit slow during peak hrs. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Laundry service is at great price ( by kilos)..makes a difference when you are travelling city to city.”

We were there for Christmas eve and so there were a lot of enjoyable activities planned for the guests. Even the royal family (who lives in the private parts of the property) joined in the festivities. We rented the heritage rooms where we got the feel of living as royals in a haveli. I would highly recommend...

”Their Deluxe Suite was roomy, clean, and luxurious. Room stayed cool without using the AC on hot days and the temperature was nice for sleeping on cool nights even without us turning on any heating. Bed was comfy. The hotel's design and many terrace levels offered chances to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, views to the town and fort, depending on whichever you were in the mood for. The location was perfect! The staff was professional and welcoming. The warm hospitality and personal attention...

”This hotel was incredible. The room was a comfortable size, beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfy. They decorated it in rose petals and balloons for my birthday as a driving surprise ( after my partner asked them) The outside of the building was so intricately decorated in carved sandstone.
