”This hotel was a nice find, excellent quality for the price. The building is a bit run down outside, but we were there off-season and it seemed there was a lot of maintenance going on. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. They even served a breakfast, which was adequate. The location is wonderful, right next to the beach!”

”This is our second year staying at this hotel. It’s super clean, the staff is very friendly, the beds are comfortable, great water pressure in the shower also. The indoor pool is a great amenity! We will totally be back!”

”Had an unplanned overnight stay at the beach after a motorcycle breakdown. Staff was super friendly, good food in the restaurant and the room was clean and smelled good. Weather was terrible, but the hotel more than made up for the drama we had to deal with!”

”Everything was clean and everyone was very nice. The kids enjoyed the pools and hot tub and it has great beach access. Our room was cleaned each day and we recieved new towels each day. Overall this is a very well managed, but dated, hotel.”

”Our stay was pleasant although I wondered how often they rotate the beds since the mattress seemed uncomfortable for my husband and I. The lady front desk said they do.”

”Loved the breakfast, room was clean although a little beat up. Beach view was from the side window and not front view from a balcony. This is how the hotel was built. Over all, we would stay again. ”

”My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful.”

”So comfortable, quiet, and clean. Bed was super comfy. Easy access, easy parking and a super short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again!”
