Check in was great with a very helpful member of staff, full of information about the hotel and different dining styles. We had a great night in a comfortable room, well appointed. ”Lovely old historic Inn. Rooms traditionally furnished and had some nice welcoming touches. Bar was very cozy. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast freshly cooked. No lift but staff kindly helped us to the top floor with our bags. Our daughter stayed in a ground floor garden room overlooking the beer garden which was also very nicely furnished. Menu looked great but we ate in the Indian restaurant directly opposite which was also excellent. Will stay here again when passing through.”
