”Stayed just one night, also had drinks at the pub, easy access to Sherborne town centre, wheres plenty of shops, bars, cafes,Restaurants. Free parking if you are staying in hotel, for 24 hours. Register your car at reception. Had bath&shower which im happy to have. Clean,and very white bedding and towels, hangers, tea making facilities. . Comfortable bed. Staff i came into contact with were very nice. Would stay again next time im visiting friends in Sherborne. ”

”Mukava vanhan ajan majatalo, joka sopi sijainniltaan hyvin yöpymispaikaksi matkalla kanaalisaarille (n. 10 min kävelyn päässä Poolen satamasta). Huoneessa ei muuta moittimista kuin vanhanaikaiset ikkunat, joiden äänieristys oli olematon ja jo loppukesän yönä huone oli melko viileä. Korvatulpat takasivat silti rauhalliset unet. Aamupala hyvä brittiaamiainen ja henkilökunta niin respassa kuin aamupalalla oli kohteliasta.”

”It’s very nice, if you can find it. On Sunday there are no buses into Poundbury so you have to walk through the development. There’s minimal signage and few people around to get directions. The B&B itself is quite nice and my room,#8, was quiet with a view for miles over the countryside. Ideal location to catch the local bus to Lyme Regis.”

”We booked our stay via Tesco vouchers and it really has been great value for money. The hotel is very welcoming and eager to please. Abby greeted us and gave us lots of suggestions about where to visit and places to eat, not really necessary as the food there was absolutely first class. Breakfasts were included in the price and we were looked after brilliantly by Wendy - nothing was too much trouble - efficient, friendly and it was obvious that her customers came first, thank you Wendy! ”Everything was great, the room, the food and the pub. The staff were friendly, polite and friendly. The only problem was the breakfast didn’t start until 8am which is a little late for a business traveller but amazing cooked to order breakfast. Will definitely come back.”

”First appearance was off putting, the building is old and in need of some 'curb appeal' and repainting. The room was very clean but very dark decor. The breakfast was excellent and staff friendly ”

”The rooms were very clean and set up for tea/coffee making with fresh milk in the fridge. Brilliant hair dryer in the room too and powerful shower in the bathroom which was spotless. The staff gave us a very warm welcome. We dined in the pub which has an extensive menu choice including a small appetites menu. The food was excellent, very well presented and tasty. Would highly recommend dining here. ”

”Reasonably clean, carpet in hallway getting worn. Window in bedroom had a Venetian blind, with no curtain. Unfortunately this allowed the full power of the sun to infiltrate the whole (small) room at 04.30am and so no further sleep was possible.”
