”My husband and I were moving from Oregon to Ohio and needed a respite and some nature between our long driving days. This place was beautiful and very clean. The owners of the property were very nice and accommodating and very responsive when we had questions and/or needs. We had a lot of fun Just FYI, not a complaint. The only spices are salt and pepper. There are no cooking oils, nor are there things like Saran Wrap, foil, etc. You will need to bring those. ”

”We really enjoyed our stay. When walking we met several people on the street everyone was super nice. The river was perfect. We were able to sit on the dock and put our toes in. We kept waiting for the rough roads mentioned in a previous post. They do not exist. All roads were paved. No potholes. Very nice for small town Midwest. ”

”We have visited Serenity lake for Labor day and spent 3 nights there. The place is very quiet and relaxing. Lots of untouched nature. Great place for fishing .The cottage is nice and has everything you need. Brian the host is wonderful and friendly. He answered all of our questions and was very helpful. The hot tub in front of the cottage is wonderful for evening relaxation. We will be back in spring for sure. Worth the drive from Chicago if you need to get away and chill in peace and quiet. We...

”We wanted to stay somewhere to getaway from our busy life’s and celebrate a birthday. This property was perfect for what we wanted. The house was very cute and cozy. We loved all the games/hot tub. We had a blast . The owner’s respond fast and were very nice! We wished we booked more days to experience some of the activities the property offers that we couldn’t fit Into our short stay.”
