”The room was a good size and spacoius, large bed with good facilities, the only thing that let it down was the smell from the drains, but that could be to do with the hot weather we’ve had recently.”

”Friendly staff. Upon arrival, there isn’t a person permanently at the check-in desk…not really a problem, but if there was a sign directing newcomers to the bar for assistance, that would help. I wish there were fridges in the rooms. But the shower was great, room was clean, and a kettle for tea/coffee worked great. And the food available at the attached pub is excellent. ”Good size room with large comfortable bed. All except one window was painted shut which meant condensation and some mould on the bottom of the net curtains. It wouldn't stop me staying again but would be better if fixed. Good food the one night we ate there. Excellent to have the electric car chargepoint available for overnight charging.”

”Room was pretty shabby , needing refurbishment but very clean. The mattress was very soft and could do with replacing. As the room was painted in dark colours it made it feel very small but the lighting over the bed made reading comfortable. The room I had overlooked the outside beer garden which had lights on all night. The shutters did not keep the light out. As a woman on her own I noticed there was no bolt or chain from the inside but I did feel safe. The bar downstairs was really pleasant...
