Wasdale Hotellit

”This was our first time staying at an independent hotel and we were welcomed by a polite staff member. However, the conditions of the room and amenities of it could’ve been better such as the shower, the floor and walls. The shower was mouldy, the floor was very squeaky for both our room and neighbours making the noise doubled and the walls had no purpose whatsoever as they were so thin , hearing neighbours frequently. Our breakfast on the last morning wasn’t served to us and we got told to go...

”A beautiful setting. The parkland with peacocks and chickens was great to walk around with our dog. Rooms spacious and clean with good facilities and restaurant food excellent. Staff were super friendly and helpful - a great place to stay especially as a base for walking/visiting the Lake Distrct.”

”Well appointed room with everything you need and stunning view.”

”Had an overnight stay at Mary Mount Hotel. Staff were so welcoming and friendly throughout stay. Dinner was first class and so well presented. Will definitely book sgain. Thank you.”

”Stayed five times, excellent hotel fro a short break away .”

”Lovely clean room. Staff very friendly and informative about local attractions. Good choice of breakfast. Plenty of parking.”

”The hotel had a beautiful view! We had the room with the larger windows looking directly at the mountains. The staff was super helpful, we had to take extra twenty minutes to check out and they were very helpful about that. The food was lovely. And parking was ample as well!”

”Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. Cooked breakfast was fantastic as was dinner … but … why oh why would you feature Nothumbrian sourced ingredients in the...

”Victor and Johanna were so friendly and warm, we felt valued. The breakfasts were delicious! The hotel was clean, comfortable and we appreciated the easy parking. Being so close to restaurants and the town center made walking about so easy. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast.”

”An amazing location and room. Great breakfast and convenient to walkable and drivable Lake District attractions.”

”My wife and I had a fabulous 2 night stay. Our room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was first class. The bar was a lovely place to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely return for another visit. I have only one observation to feedback, and its minor. The decor in our bathroom was tired and needs looking at. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but paint work and fixtures were beginning to show their age.”

”Great location, centrally located for all of the trails, short walk into Grasmere was very convenient, restaurant was a great place to grab a good meal at the end of a long day”
