”Lovely inn in a lovely village conveniently located to major towns and linked with a good railway line. Friendly folk run the hotel and a reasonably good selection of beers. Stayed here before and if in the area would stay here again. Only thing to be aware of is that some nights there are special events (quiz night) which may affect the availability of food or change restaurant times.”

”Recently refurbished in an attractive rural style the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. No air conditioning but a remote controlled Dyson fan was provided. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but could have done with some fresh fruit on the buffet table. However, when asked we were brought some pineapple which was good. The tables in the bar/restaurant were nicely laid out for dinner with proper napkins! The food was was generally typically hearty...

”We stayed one night at the hotel. It was easy to find and had a good car park. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got information of restaurants nearby where we could have dinner. It was a 15 minute walk to the nearest restaurants. The room was quite small, but had all we needed. The breakfast was tasty :) ”

”Hotelli on lähellä kaikkia kauppat. Auton pysäköinti on helppoa. Itse hotelli on rakenettu 1700 luvulla ja historiallinen. Huonemme oli iso ja mukava. Ainoa puute oli pieni jääkaapi. Palvelu toimii. Ravintola ja ruokka on hyvä ja väki kohteliatta ja mukavia. Huulen heittoa toimii. Hissi ei ole mutta laukumme oli viettu huoneseen. Suositelemme.”

”We pre booked and paid for dinner only to find at check in that dinner wasn’t available and we had been booked at a pub 10 minutes away by car. We didn’t want to drive again we wanted to eat and relax after a day of travel. As there wasn’t an alternative we didn’t go to the pub where the main course was fine but not what we wanted. Had we been informed that dinner wasn’t available we would have booked elsewhere.”

”Excellent 2-night stay. The hotel was clean and bright, the breakfast was hot and well-stocked, and the staff friendly and helpful. Great location for accessing the station, Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays, and the ferries.”

”The hotel is situated in a residential area close to the seafront and within walking distance to good restaurants and pubs. The rooms are tight for two people with luggage and there are no lifts. There are a few properties associated with the hotel so I can only comment on the one beside the cabin garden restaurant that is part of the hotel and where we were located. The rooms are clean, the bed for two people was small. The doors in this building, unless people are considerate and close them...

”Rooms were clean staff excellent just don't eat there, the breakfast was probably worse than you could get from Farmfoods, a lot of it should be banned from human consumption yes the sausages! Then I had something from the Hungry Horse, yes I know it's cheap and get what you pay for (beer £6.75 though) but when I was asked how well done I'd like my mixed grill steak I almost chuckled and was right to do so. Perhaps they should ask how dry would you like it. To make matters worse, they fcuked...
