”What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. ”Everything as usual was excellent, However i was disappointed with the standard of the buffet breakfast. On previous occasions we were table served. Breakfast was freshly cooked quite special. Now unfortunately the llanerch breakfast experience has become ordinary and generic and dare i say, not worthy of the £20 charge. Saying all that, we enjoy the lovely spacious rooms, quiet disposition and friendly staff. We will, ofcourse come to stay again. ”

Sculptor Robert Kennedy. Six separate small upright works set on stone bases; two boxing gloves, two dolls, cherub and a skull. Information from Festival Park: 'The works were carved away from site during 1991. They are made to operate as conventional garden ornamentation, within a constructed garden. The boxing gloves are there to depict some of their associated aspects, such as maleness and competition. The dolls depict something of how an image is idealised for mass consumption, becoming a distortion of the human figure. Both the gloves and the dolls can be seen as gendering devices through role play. The cherub and skull are life and death charms. Each of these suggests ways in which we adopt roles in society. What we really are is never as clear cut as what these images suggest.' Borderline was supported by Garden Festival Wales and Chapter Arts Centre. 'The sculptor, Robert Kennedy, felt that the Garden Festival was a huge, themed social event in itself. He wanted to create a themed garden within it, something social, commenting to some extent on the diversity of culture within real society.' A number of sculptures were commissioned for the Garden Festival of Wales in 1991/2 and some works remain on site.

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has heartfelt staff who made us feel welcome. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and we loved having a nice breakfast served right to our table each morning. The hotel itself is in a beautiful building and neighborhood, with the added convenience of having parking available. It's in a fantastic location, with several nice restaurants and a supermarket nearby. We especially enjoyed being able to easily walk to Bute Park, and from there, on to Cardiff Castle and the old town. We would happily stay here again on our next visit!"
