”The River House at Claremont was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. I am a huge Gone With the Wind fan and this property brought you back to the South prior to the Civil War all we needed were ball gowns to make it really authentic. The house was well appointed with the necessaries (toilet paper, tissues, and toiltetries). In addition the kitchen pantry had salt, pepper, flour and other staples. The interior of the house is amazing with much of the furniture handmade by the owner...

”I can’t say enough good things about this vacation home!!! This was our second time staying at this house and both experiences have been great! The house is always super clean and is stocked with everything you will need. We loved the dock, fishing was great from it and it is so convenient being so close to the boat launch. The owners were great to deal with and so helpful. I would definitely recommend this house!!!!!!”

”Captain Ron is absolutely the most wonderful host. It is an older boat with a retro 70s style! That is where the charm is for me! Any issues with being an older boat are way out-weighed by the charm of the boat, the beautiful natural area and a wonderful and interesting host! Sitting on the front of that boat, looking out across the water, the rest of the world melts away! I would say if you are a larger sized person, you would have difficulty getting up and down the stairs to the different...

”We loved this property! It was perfect for our family. While we spent much of our time in the Williamsburg area, we thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet at the end of the day. I was a little unsure of staying on the same property as the owner and was afraid it would feel as if there were no privacy. I could not have been more wrong. ”This beautiful little bungalow was warm, welcoming, and the perfect launching pad for a girls' weekend of shopping and great restaurants. It was tastefully decorated, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. Throughout our stay, my mom, sister, and I kept saying how wonderful it was. If I was looking for a place to work from home, away from home, this would be my pick for the Richmond area. Great place!”

”Overall this was a very desirable location and rental. Huge front and back yard, well decorated and smelled awesome when we walk in. Minor issues with microwave handle being broken on the bottom and uncleaned oven that created a lot of smoke when turned on. We cleaned as best we could to prepare dinner and carried on.
