”We were awakened in the middle of the night by someone trying to get into our room. I contacted the front desk who blew me off saying to go back to sleep, clearly guest going to wrong room. This is understandable but what happened next wasn’t. A few minutes later the room phone rang, the front desk demanded to know why we were still occupying the room after having checked out (which we hadn’t). I explained that we were still here on the second night of a two night stay but the clerk said that...

”Check in was extremely slow. Each group ahead of us took 15 minutes each. We only booked this hotel due to it having a kitchen. The pictures include a 2 burner induction stove top. The room had cabinets and draws but not 1 utensil, pot, pan, plate, bowl or anything to cook or eat with. Was told but the front desk that this is because they have no way to sanitize. The listing for the hotel is very misleading. My 1 night stay should be refunded.”

”The Highliner is a modern hotel with only a housekeeping staff. The rooms and modern and comfortable. Its in a great downtown location. Don't miss the Fire Island Bakery one block down K street.”

”Very affordable and comfortable. Could hear through the walls pretty easy though. Cars passing outside and people in other rooms/in hallways. But overall very ideal stay for the price.”

”The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Although the hotel is older, it has been updated nicely and feels well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The coffee was disappointing - perhaps it wasn’t fresh - but that was a minor issue. Overall, I had a decent experience. I was only staying for one night before an early morning drive, so it was simply a quick stop for a good night’s sleep.”

”We booked a studio with kitchen. Checked in at night. Next morning, we found the kitchen sink was leaking. We called front desk immediately, and also told cleaning staff about the issue. But until we left, nobody come to fix it. Front desk staff excused that their repair person was not available.”
