”The hotel wasn't even accepting reservations and Expedia booked me there. And I also paid a $9 insurance fee. Thankfully, I did not pay for my reservation in advance. I received no confirmation from the hotel or Expedia. The night before my departure, I looked for a confirmation and found nothing. I tried to call the hotel and the call went immediately went to voicemail with no outgoing message. The next day, when I arrived in the town and drove by the place, there was a huge sign out front...

”I was thrilled with the location. Very short walk into town, and had plenty of parking. Checking in was a breeze by just using codes to the doors. My first impression walking into the building was that it smelled VERY clean. My room was spotless, bright and charming. I stayed in Room #8, and it was the perfect size for a single or a couple. The ONLY thing I wish it had was a blow dryer, but that is a VERY minor mark. 5 stars all around, and will stay here again!”

”I work hard and needed the perfect relaxing place. We booked a night while we were passing through town and it was exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was what you would expect from a Vermont establishment. The beer was great, the meatballs were literally amazing. At first I felt the price of the pizza was a bit high but after eating it I had zero regrets, worth it. Our room was above the bar and provided ear buds. We wouldn’t need them on this night because we may have been the only guests....

”The Latchis Hotel is a wonderful step back in time. I absolutely loved the historic charm, the vintage record players and records in the rooms, and all the fascinating stories and history throughout the property. The staff were beyond helpful, welcoming, and genuinely kind during our stay. That said, guests should know that this is a historic hotel, and some modern comforts are limited. The only complaint is that they make you take your trash with you when you go. There was a pass for the local dump which helped offset the inconvenience. Otherwise, A+”
