âItâs so hard to find the quintessential English pub these days but the shoulder of mutton hits the spot.
The food was home cooked and great, not prepackaged
Pub was clean, no damp or mould
The view from the beer garden was amazing overlooking the valley
The room was Pub basic but clean and not mouldy.
Price point was spot on

âI was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine.
Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church.

âIt is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation.
What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies.
This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales.
