”Good quiet location on the edge of Bridgwater looking out onto fields. Busy pub mid-week in April when we were there with people sitting out enjoying the weather. Good dinner and breakfast.”

”Lovely quirky place hosts and staff were lovely.absolute highlight was the food served in the beautifull train carriage,we both had the steak highly reccomend it as good as the ivy.entertainment both nights really enjoyed,lovely garden. Hosts very hands on and hard working after 7 months hard work hope they can have a little break.”

”A very cool/reserved welcome. Check-in seems like an effort. Quickly settled and sat outside for a drink - went inside because the language was disgusting. The swearing inside was no better and neither was the misogynistic comments from the senior members. Good place to stay but let down by the clientele”

”The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm.”

”We booked about an hour before we were due to arrive and everything was excellent with our room. Considering the price the rooms are set up with anything you might need (even including a bottle opener!) We were welcomed by very helpful staff.”

”Absolutely fabulous stay - the staff were all amazing, the food for dinner and breakfast great, the beer garden was the most beautifully manicured beer garden i have ever been to. Bed and pillows also very comfortable. The photos dont do this place justice - its a proper gem :)”

”Lovely location with Wooky Holes on the doorstep of the Hotel. Room was basic but clean and had everything you'd want fir an overnight stay. Lovely grounds for a walk. Only negative was bath taps had hot water, but the shower had only had cold water. The mixer thermostat was obviously faulty. Talking to other guests, this seemed to be a common fault as others said their shower only had cold water too.”
