”For the price paid the room was very good, the bathroom great size, the lady working behind the bar was friendly and engaging, very quiet area, we have stayed here before, and perfect for one night, the front of hotel looks really nice, shame the weather changed as would have been nice to sit outside, we had evening meal which was very nice, didnt have breakfast so cant comment on that, plenty of parking available Check in and out was very easy,( reception could have been a bit friendlier), not...

”Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships.”

”Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was spacious (in previous occasions I've been assigned smaller bathrooms in which it was difficult to get in/out of the bath). Very quiet room even though it's next to the main road. I'd like it more if they provided the usual hotel amenities in the room (e.g. a bath cap). Breakfast is quite nice, a continental and full English buffet. Overall, I like the place.”

”The Spa facilities were excellent as were the therapists. Top notch. Lovely helpful staff all round. Expected a bigger garden but it was still nice with good seating areas and lovely views. Would go again l, even if only for the spa.”

”The location is unbeatable for the historic dockyard (30 mtr) and gunwharf quay and rail station. Good breakfast nicely cooked and tasty. The rooms are to a modern decor with fans for the heat, as there is no air con. We had room 25 which is small, but adequate. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever had with a basin that is tiny. Good shower cubicle that takes most of the space. We would stay there again but not in 25.”

”Definately good hotel, maybe not quite living up five star status. Our third hotel stay during the same week, so it is easy to compare with other being four stars. The staff are doing their best, but glitches in new room cards and reception procedures left a sour taste. The place at the shore is nice, alltough part of the view is blocked by harbour warehouses. It is a bit far from the city centre by walking. The bar at the top has a nice view, but is noisy. All in all good experience, but not...

”Was onze tweede keer hier. Perfecte plek, goede keuken, fijne kamer. Zaak is recentelijk overgenomen, maar nog steeds prima. Mevrouw van het ontbijt was een absolute zonnestraal zo vroeg op de dag”

”The Copper Beeches is a 15 minute walk from the South Downs Way. I received a very warm welcome and my stay couldn’t have been better. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Thank you so much. ”
