”The 1872 Inn was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was very quiet. A staff member insisted on carrying my heavy bag for me down the stairs, as well as replenishing our bottled water as often as needed. The breakfast offered many choices of hot and cold food, and parking was more than ample.”

”Quiet resort outside the downtown tourist chaos. Beautifully maintained rooms and property. Perfect place to relax after a long day in Yellowstone. Wonderful staff and delicious breakfast.”

”We just returned from our trip to West Yellowstone. This is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it. It is clean, safe, and within easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. But, do read the property description. There is no dishwasher and there is no air conditioner. 10 months out of the year having no AC is probably not an issue, but Montana does get warm in July and Aug. We had difficulty getting the room cool enough to sleep. ”

”Very old school motor inn type motel which we loved. Very clean room. The only drawback was the parking is pretty tight. Can't say enough about the check in clerk. Very helpful and friendly.”

”Property was next to a garage and abandoned boarded up restaurant. A converted old bus was right next to the building with people living in it. It was not the best part of town. The building itself was nice and well kept. The road to the property was dirt and the parking lot same which was muddy. ”

”The room was clean and there is daily housekeeping. There are a lot of amenities- pool, hot tub, complimentary coffee, cookies and ice cream, games room and an onsite restaurant.”

”We stayed at room 22 and there's a strong unpleasant smell in the room which was disgusting - it feels like someone cooked Indian food in this room for a while and the smell doesn't leave the room. I wanna say it's not the foods problem, I wish the motel house keeping could do a better job by cleaning the smell as well. This is a motel comes with kitchen so if you do not have cooking needs I do not recommend staying here. The whole night I was struggling with the weird smell and didnt rest well....
