”The building from the road looks run down. The check in staff were nice. It’s a bit frustrating that my Tangerine MasterCard was not accepted… it’s still a valid credit card. The room was small but had what it needed. I did like the water pressure in the shower. We also liked the fact that the fridge was bigger than most hotel mini fridges. Also nice that there was a microwave. However when my husband sat at the desk to do some work…. He found a cockroach taped to the side of the tv stand!!! We...

”Room was very clean and comfortable. Tv didn't have may stations to choose from.
Buffet breakfast was great.
Pool and hot tub was very relaxing. Gym seamed to be not useable due to renovations.
Staff was very helpful and friendly.”

”Our room had a great view of the water. The parking was okay but a little steep on the bottom. The staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was simple and delicious.”

”Did not know that there were so many stairs to get to and from the bachelor apt., However Hosts were there at the time we arrived to check on things and graciously helped us up the stairs with our bags ! We really appreciated their friendliness and kindness after a long day . The oatmeal cookies that were left for us as a special treat were fantastic and waking up to a beautiful view with Canada geese on the lawn by the lake was amazing!”

”Bottom line: this is a fun place to stay, and I think you will enjoy yourself if you stay here. House needs (and deserves) some TLC. The house could comfortably accommodate 8 guests, and maybe 2-4 more. We were not really familiar with Rita McNeil prior to our visit, but if you are, this place will be a thrill for you (it's her former home).
