”It was my second time staying at the property. The house was kept to a high standard.there was board games and a good selection DVDs for the wet days.and very close to the town.”

”The property internally is nicely presented. There’s a good fitted kitchen with built in appliances and every item of crockery and kitchen utensil you could think of. The electric recliners were very comfy and there is a modern bathroom with a good shower. The property was very clean and nicely presented. The negatives are that the access is poor. Although it’s the norm for Whitby the access is much steeper than we expected and the nearest parking is quite a walk away. 100% not wheelchair...

”Parking space very small to the point my husband had to climb over to the passenger side to exit the car. Rear entrance very grotty. Flat itself was ok and clean but small double bed lumpy and uncomfortable. Bedroom also very hot and stuffy. Good use of a small space though and well equipped ”

”Esk View Cottage is a fabulous base for exploring the Yorkshire Moors. Its location overlooking the river is stunning and the sound of the water very peaceful and relaxing. It is a 90 second walk from the NYMR station of Grosmont which we made great use of and the steam trains gave a really charming feel. Will definitely return. ”

”The stay was great however the booking with hotels.com and communication with Sykes cottages in Whitby was terrible and gave me so much hassle.”
