âIf youâre disabled or just an older guest beware the rooms have not been reviewed by an appropriate person. I found the bathroom a death trap. No grab rails in the shower but the worst was the slippery floor in the toilet with nothing to grab onto when struggling to arise from the toilet. My husband had to help me but not before on making an attempt my feet slipped and I finished up with a nasty fall and a now painful back.
At 2am I had to ring reception I was frozen- the radiator didnât work...

âWe absolutely loved our stay. The staff were so friendly and couldnât do enough for you (without being over bearing). The whole place was spotless, the food was impeccable and it was very dog friendly. We wish we couldâve stayed longer! â

âStayed here for the first time 14 March oh my what a treat. We stayed in the James Herriot room and itâs the little details such as a piece of cake a glass of port and the accessories were in keeping with the great man himself all very well thought out. We dined that evening and we were not disappointed the food was exceptional and well executed. A warm and welcoming experience by staff who were so friendly!â
