The Winds hotel was very nice. We (my wife & I) stayed 2 nights while attending a funeral service in the area.
Our room was clean; the bathroom was in excellent shape, and very clean as well. The bed was fairly comfortable (although the pillows were hard-as-a-rock, LOL).
It appears that the entire facility has had a major renovation recently, as old "Google Maps" images showed it to be a 'chain hotel' in the past. In any case, it was a very pleasant stay, and the price was reasonable.
It's located just 10-15 minutes north from downtown Wichita, and had very easy access from the I-235, and was just minute or two off the turnpike, yet was a fairly quiet location. Parking seemed ample, but could probably fill-up if the place got really busy.
All-in-all, a nice stay (I've been in worse!). If/when we are up in the Wichita area again, I would not hesitate to to stay here again.
