”Cottage was perfectly located and well equipped albeit small for the price. Bathroom great, cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen. Couple of areas needed redecorating. But communication was non existent. Contacted host twice without reply on day of arrival to get the passcode for the keys. Also phone number was for Sykes cottages which was closed. Ended up knocking on doors nearby and finally got to the right person.”

”Helpful staff and very handy having the small kitchen. Great location but the area was loud and the guests upstairs were very noisy. We could hear everything. Parking permit provided which was handy for the on street parking. Overall good.”

”Very friendly staff, clean and tidy. Good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Probably the best one we have stayed in in Scarborough and we have stayed in quite a few! Unfortunately unable to access the restaurant for dinner as fully booked, but breakfast was delicious and well presented. Will definitely return.”

”It’s billed as a BW Signature but having just come from a signature hotel in Solihull I beg to differ. First impression you pull up and think the gps has taken you to the wrong place no BW signage and a shabby looking exterior. Reception was a serving hatch in the wall find out your on the third floor lift only goes to the 2nd then you have to drag your cases up 2 flights of stairs the room is incredibly small,shower is a corner unit where your elbows hit the sides as you shower nowhere to put...

”Outdated and shabby hotel. Decor scuffed and scruffy - place looks like not painted in 30 years. Very disappointing.”

”Hotellin ikä näkyy lähes jokapaikassa. Remontointi oli käynnissä, joka on todella tarpeen. Henkilökunta "kirjavaa" käytökseltään. Osa henkilökunnasta oli ystävällistä, ja osa heistä kyllästyneen ja välinpitämättömän oloisia. Meillä on matkoilla tarkoitus nukkua hotellissa, joten hinta/laatusuhde on ok.”

”I checked out after being in the room only 45 minutes, dripping with sweat. I booked a standard single room with a window at a cost of £100 - I got a 6 foot square box which was 2/3 filled with bed, table and chair. The ‘window’ was 10’ high above the bed, covered over, unreachable and presumably could not be opened. Attending reception to complain - I was told there were no other rooms available, including an upgrade which I was prepared to pay for and that I could not receive a refund. I...

”We stayed in a "POD" located in the ground. The pod was well appointed with good decor. The kitchen area contained a fridge, dishwasher, oven and hob, complete with crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery all you need for a comfortable stay. The shower room was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable too. The restaurant provided a good menu at reasonable prices.”
