”The outside looks really nice, and the lobby and downstairs rooms are great. The rooms themselves are a little dated, with the carpet and paint bubbling and chipping on the walls. But, overall I enjoyed the stay, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. I really liked how everything was made in West Virginia, since it's a state park. And the breakfast was really good, too!”

”The property is extremely run down and not at all what I would consider a clean or comfortable stay. The room had a very strong and unpleasant plug-in fragrance smell that seemed to be covering up other odors. The pillows smelled heavily of body odor, the white towels were stained and the dye from the blue towels ran when wet. The bathroom and shower area need much better cleaning and maintenance. There was mildew on the bathroom ceiling, soap stains on the shower curtain that made it obvious...

”The staff were very friendly and helpful. The establishment however, was very worn and in need of upgrades. The breakfast consisted of donuts and frozen Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits. Nothing fresh. No fruit. I didn’t expect much considering the area we were in but we enjoyed the countryside and visiting the birth place of Loretta Lynn. ”

”This property is an empty, abandoned gas station and has quite clearly not been in operation for years. I cannot understand how it's still listed on Expedia and Google, because it literally an empty gas station with no lighting and busted-out windows in the middle of nowhere. I drove an hour to get to this place, arrived in the darkness to find a condemned property, and had to drive to a nearby house to get help because of the lack of phone service in Wharncliffe! Expedia, how are you still...

”The property was very clean. The bed was very comfortable except for the flat pillows. We had very poor tv for both nights. It was frustrating that we couldn’t watch the nba playoffs on either tv because their satellite had poor reception. The front desk never answers the phone so I went down to the desk and the employee was reading and eating pizza. The second night they didn’t answer because they were folding laundry.
