”We loved it. The George is so warm and welcoming (as opposed to perfect & swanky). The landlady was very friendly and eager to make sure we were happy and that attitude ran through all the staff who were all very kind. Dinner by the river was a highlight. The village doesn't have a lot of entertainment but it's charming and you can while away some time feeding the ducks at the castle (the shop sells duck feed).”

”We loved this property and area as a whole and to be in Sherborne was fantastic anyway, and so close to the Abbey was beautiful in itself. The in-house staff were brilliant and very helpful too with anything we needed, but I’m afraid the general up keep of the building and facilities in Room 1 (family size) were poor in places like broken fixtures and fittings etc, like the cracked toilet seat lid, the broken (and not working) shaving light and shaver power socket on the mirror in the bathroom...
