Best I’ve stayed at yet

The property was gorgeous and very well stocked. There wasn’t anything missing that we would need to have an amazing weekend. There was plenty of space and activities to do. We enjoyed the lake and water crafts provided and during a rainy second day we all piled into the living room for movies and games that were there. We loved everything about this stay and can’t wait to book it again.

Much needed family fun

We greatly enjoyed our stay on Highland Lake. The location is ideal, close to Portland on a large, but quiet lake. The house had many nice amenities that made the week easy. Timissa was immediately available and very attentive. Our teen boys loved fishing and kayaking. Very comfortable. Thank you!

So peaceful and quiet

We had such a great stay! The home is beautiful, well stocked and comfortable. We loved the location on the lake, we heard loons every morning and used the kayaks all but one day. The hosts were very responsive to questions we had. Lots for kids to do and the back deck is large enough for family meals!

Perfect Homebase for Maine vacation

The property is situated on a lake with a beautiful view and quick access to everything in the Portland area. The property was not only clean and inviting, but the property owners have thought of every little detail to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. Plenty of TVs, games, hot tub, kitchen gadgets and plenty of towels and linens. We loved having this place to come back to for rest at the end of a long day exploring Maine. Timissa is incredibly kind and responsive as well. We look forward to visiting again!

Family Fall getaway

Amazing property. Lakeside view and quiet neighborhood, except for a few loons! Beautiful and comfortably appointed for a weekend away. Hot tub was a big hit and nights by the fires were just what we needed at the end of each day.

Perfect in every way

This property is located on a private sandy beach with a dock. Perfect for water sports. We paddle boarded, kayaked, jetskied, swam and fished. There are beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails very close by and Sebago Lake is only about 20 min away as is Portland. The location could not be more ideal. The home is well equipped and had plenty of room for our family which was all adults, though there were toys and a crib if needed for smaller children. The house was very clean and each guest room had its own TV and cooling. The Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for cooking at home though there were great restaurants and breweries nearby. The grocery store is about a 10 min drive. The hosts were very responsive and kind and we would rent again without hesitation. This is a perfect location and rental for parties of 6-10. Hoping we can make this spot a family tradition. Everyone in our family and some cousins who stopped by could not get over how nice it was.

Maine Event

Its an older home that's been renovated, so you get some "rental" feels. You get all the modern amenities with a TV in every room if that's your jam. Location is great and the back deck is amazing. There's beautiful oak trees that form the canopy onsite. Lots of shade. House is close to Portland, Lake Sebago state park and, hiking trails. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Maine stay

This is an amazing house for a getaway! It has everything you could want, beautiful views and the hot tube is icing on the cake. Plus you’re only about 20 minutes from Portland. Tamissa was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great and Peaceful!

Great cozy getaway but super easy to get to from Portland. My only suggestion is the big beautiful windows also are close to neighbors, people walking dogs, etc. Some curtains would go a long ways in primacy.

Perfect Lakeside Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at The Lake House for my wife’s birthday. The house had plenty of space for all of us and plenty of amenities too. Perfectly close to Portland while still a little secluded. Big thumbs up to the lake access and the hot tub. Can’t wait to stay here again!
