”Expectations exceeded reality. Initially the astetics of arriving at the pub/hotel looked promising and the ambiance of the bar area pleasent with polite reception staff.The room (4) was at first site ok, but a more detailed look revealed a more dirty aspect and not as expected. The windows slatted blind very dusty, corner of the bathroom by the door, grime. Black mold in the shower around the metal shelf, the shower head holder broken and loosy fitted the drooping shower head. Under the bed...

”Beautiful pub with rooms and staff were outstanding. Our rooms were really well appointed and clean.
The food was good but we were a little underwhelmed with our meals. Salmon main dish was dripping in very salty miso and soy sauce. Restaurant was v busy and we were advised that there could be a wait for food.
Breakfasts were fantastic though we had to wait a ridiculously long time for our food on the second morning. Only one person serving and one chef creates quite a problem!

”Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi.
The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly.
The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. ”
