The Inn was so lovely and charming and exceeded our expectations! The hospitality offered by the Inn Keeper and his team was truly remarkable and we felt welcome and spoiled throughout our stay. The property itself is stunning and the attention to detail is five star in our book!!! We will definitely be back! Plan your stay!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Perfect

The inn is absolutely delightful, the innkeeper fantastic, the breakfasts gourmet, and the area beautiful. It is the perfect place to stay when visiting that part of Vermont.

5 Star Inn

Our innkeeper, Phil Jenkins, made our stay outstanding. He was charming, helpful, interesting (with a wicked sense of humor) and made us feel totally at home in his beautifully decorated 1800's house. We felt like members of the family. The rooms are all furnished in a "natural" and woodsy theme. Our room was a soft palate of grays and soothing tans. We even had a choice of pillow firmness. The breakfast area looked out onto a lovely garden area. The flowers in front were a riot of color. We had yummy hors d'oeuvres on Friday night. I had called Phil previous to our arrival to ask if a friend could join us as we all were in town for a wedding. He was most accommodating and welcoming. Our friend joined us for Saturday breakfast as well. Thank you, Phil. Saturday breakfast featured an egg souffle that was delicious. Sunday's breakfast specialty was stuffed french toast. Both were plated beautifully which added to the enjoyment of the food. Our stay at the Deer Brook Inn was 10+, and we would love to come again.

This was easily one of the best b&b we’ve ever stayed at! Phil and all his staff are top notch professionals. He’s very experienced in the trade and does more than first class service. Superbly decorated and the grounds are immaculately landscaped and maintained. Excellent!!!!

You have to stay here!! Phil goes above and beyond, it is obvious he loves what he does. Our room was so comfortable (we even had a “pillow menu” in our closet...so I got to pick the super soft pillow:) and spotless. And come to breakfast hungry. It was absolutely delicious and I’m pretty sure my husband and I drank a pot of coffee. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Going to my daughter’s horse show turned into a vacation!! Twice!!! 2 times I’ve been to Deer Brook in less than 3 months and I will go back again (& again...! The food is fantastic, the room is so comfortable & spotless, and Phil, the innkeeper, is a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! This may seem over the top - but it’s actually an understatement.

Woodstock's best kept secret retreat!

I have never written a review for any hotel we have stayed in, but after our experience at the Deer Brook Inn, I felt I needed share our experience. The Inn is beautifully decorated, the rooms are exceptionally clean, the food was delicious. These are all things we have had at other places we have stayed at before, but the one exception is the amazing inn keeper Phil. We were welcomed by Phil as though we were family coming for a visit. He showed us to our beautiful room, he had a welcoming reception for all the guests, and he prepared a delicious breakfast for all of us. He gave us great tips, places to visit, roads to take, and even drew up maps for us to follow. We actually felt sad we had to go, but knew we would return to this quaint little Inn, and hope to see Phil again. Thank you Phil for making our weekday getaway more special than we could imagine.

Charming B&B with even better host.

Philip was an amazing host. After some complications with the booking due to Expedia making an error we had the most amazing stay at the Deer Brook Inn. Philip defines a good host, from the exquisite freshly cooked breakfasts each day to the lively conversations during hospitality hour. We felt very well cared for during our stay. The rooms themselves are immaculately decorated and is every bit the picture perfect inn. Philip provided an extensive list of suggested activities during the day and long list of restaurant recommendations and even made a booking for us. All in all an amazing place to stay. Thank you to Philip and Winthrop.

Excellent B&B you won’t want to miss!

Excellent B&B in scenic spot along river, just a few minutes drive outside Woodstock Village. Amazing breakfasts, gorgeous furnishings and stylish design throughout, the friendliest and most professional innkeepers you’ll find anywhere, comfortable and very clean - this place has it all! My husband and I stayed in the first-floor suite which was spacious and private: although on the first floor and thus near common room that all guests can use, we were never bothered by noise (it’s a small inn). I loved especially the details in design and comfort throughout. Excellent Wifi - although you won’t want to use it because you’lll be so serenely unplugged from the demands of the outside world. The fireplace in common living room is perfectly inviting after a winter day out and about. Coffee, tea, cookies and light snacks always available in dining room. Late afternoon social gathering - ouer d’oeuvres and beverages (including wine) served - was a great opportunity to chat with other guests and the charming and knowledgeable innkeepers. (At the same time, there isn’t any pressure to join in - it’s a laid back and casual vibe at this inn). We stayed just for the weekend, but it felt like home, so welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

Woodstock's Hidden Gem

One of the best experiences I have ever had! The staff were kind, attentive, and just plain wonderful! I can't wait to return as soon as possible! This place is BEAUTIFUL inside and out! (Not to mention that the breakfast was to die for). Don't think twice- you need to stay at the Deer Brook Inn!

Beautiful Inn close to a picturesque village.

From the moment we arrived, to the day that we left, everything was perfect. The hospitality from the owner Phil,and his cousin Reba was second to none. The Inn itself was a joy. Every room was beautiful , individually decorated and extremely comfortable. Phil's breakfasts were amazing. We didn't want to leave!

Outstanding B & B in Woodstock, VT

We just returned from a three night stay in one of the nicest and friendliest B & Bs ever. Our hosts David and George went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The Inn is beautifully located across the road from a river and within ten minutes drive to downtown Woodstock, Vermont. The entire inn is clean and tidy with tasteful decoration throughout. All seating and sleeping accommodations were very comfy. The mattress was first rate. Design features and appointments impress throughout. The breakfast area is charming with inside or outside seating. The breakfast was gourmet all the way with personal service from George while David did his epicurean magic, Highly recommended!

Very pleasant B&B

Very pleasant B&B with friendly and solicitous owners who served a delicious breakfast. My teenage daughters and I enjoyed this quaint inn very much. Only watch out is that it is quite a distance from the town of Woodstock (much too far to walk).
