”The hotel was somewhere to stay for the night. Basic, but clean with necessary amenities. The location was a challenge to find on a busy road, but a call to the staff provided a courteous and helpful set of directions, with one outside to guide me into the parking space. En~suite toilet and shower, TV and tea making facilities. Good value for money if you are looking for a cheap and simple place to stay.”

”Very nice staff. Straight forward public house atmosphere. Beer tasting and band playing downstairs well into the evening, but not a significant issue. Nice breakfast and really beautiful surroundings.”

”Arrived at the hotel only to find a run down building with broken windows and hotel name. Had booked a double room. During check in was able formed my room was “upgraded” to a deluxe complimentary. Room was on the second floor and there was no elevators. Walked up the stairs the dirtiest stairs ever seemed like it never got cleaned, went to the room. The room itself was rather small for a “deluxe” double had no windows only a tiny little window on the top right side but the ceiling of a wall....

”Room was lovely! Stayed the night with my young son after diggerland 🚜 (only an hour away) Staff were great, room was clean, food was fab, bed was super comfortable! Easy to park, relaxing atmosphere, felt safe! Would 100% recommend 👏 ⭐ ”

”Really friendly staff at reception, very helpful and easy to deal with. Clean room, comfy bed, nice and quiet at night. Restaurant has lovely meals, and the breakfast was fabulous with lots of options.”

”The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

”Always a pleasant stay at the Crown and Mitre. The club rooms and the front of the hotel are super comfy. If their car park is full there is one very close by (yellow sign) £6 overnight (by coins or app). Never had any issues.”

”This is a beautiful, unique lodging, as neat as a pin! We enjoyed evenings and breakfast chats with other guests in the comfortable lounge and dining room. Our hostess was quite helpful in revising our accommodations to suit a last minute need. The surroundings are breathtaking!”
