”Simply superb! This traditional B&B, for me, was perfect. Louise met me at the door with a warm smile and showed me to my, quaint, comfortable room. The brass-rail bed was super comfortable and my breakfast was cooked excellently by Peter, the other half of this welcoming (and hardworking) couple. Highly recommend this place when you’re passing through Shrewsbury UK.

”Great one night stay. The room was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. I also loved the breakfast hamper in the room - the hotel doesn’t do a formal breakfast, however a very good hamper is provided in your room with granola, dried fruit mix, cornflakes, croissants and apples. There’s also tea/coffee, and milk and yogurt in the fridge. I thought this was a great idea and it was all included in the cost of the room. I would definitely stay there again. ”
”Excellent stay , room lovely all staff were so friendly and helpful ! Breakfast very nice , no complaints at all it was 30 degrees when we stayed ,room was very warm but a fan was provided without us needing to ask .
There is free parking but wd parked at the ncp which is literally across the road .”

”Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also...
” A traditional hotel with great character which provided everything I needed for four nights stay, with the friendliest and most professional staff I have ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was of an excellent standard and the hotel was sited close to places of interest. I would love to return

”My stay was very good, check in was easy and fairly quick.
Out of hours door access was explained which was pertinent to our stay so that was very helpful. However if you do return in the early hours, be aware that a lot of the doors are fire doors and slam shut making a big noise.
The shared facilities were well equipped and very clean.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Parking is free. Just be aware that all members of your party need to show their photo ID.
