”The welcome we received at check in was probably the best welcome ever at a hotel. Our room was squeaky clean and we had a gorgeous relaxing view over the golf course. We ate in the onsite restaurant one evening, sensibly priced and great food, again the staff were exceptional. We loved the use of the pool and its other facilities. All in all it was a fabulous stay, we hope to visit again.”

”The central location is perfect and onsite parking a benefit. Breakfast was wonderful and beautifully presented, and the owner and his team ensured we had a memorable and comfortable stay in peaceful surroundings. A terrific find and a delightful stay.”

”Shower a bit too hot however I adjusted the hot/cold knob but didn’t work at all! Overall it was ok! ”

”The room was ideal for what I needed and was a lot warmer than first looked, with it being in the outbuildings I thought it would be freezing but it was sound. The breakfast was decent enough and overall the stay represented excellent value for money. It’s probably a lot more lively in the summer as the pub/restaurant was empty the night I was there which felt a bit strange. I would stay again if in the area with work.”

”The Bushel is a friendly well run pub right in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds. It has the advantage of Car Parking for guests. Breakfast and Dinner were both good value and tasty. The staff are helpful and efficient. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms. This had all we needed including a good size bed, shower, tea and coffee, Tv etc. We would certainly stay here again when we are next in the area.”

”Our room was very clean and stylish, bathroom and shower were perfect. Our only negative was that we couldn’t get a cocktail at 11pm when we returned from dinner, such a shame as we would have liked to finish our wedding day with a celebratory cocktail.”

”The room was nice and cozy, it had the best bed I have ever slept on in a hotel! The tea and coffee were very much appreciated as well. The staff were lovely, they couldn’t do enough for you, I will definitely stay again if I visit Thetford.”

”Would have been perfect but the air con wasn't working and we had no hot water in the morning either due to a boiler issue.”

”Staff were super friendly. Bar was fine and very lively. Room was a decent size but a little stuffy and hot. The hotel is a little dated but fine for a couple of nights. If you can get at a reasonable price then worth it for a night or two.”
