Have epilepsy - cannot have a bath. To climb over bath side with no grab handles is not a good idea. Difficult to get the shower working at an acceptable temp. Should have a walk in shower”

”We had a good stay at Premier Inn Durham North overall. When we arrived, there was an issue with our booking payment. We had already paid through Expedia, but at reception we were initially told that the payment had not gone through and that we would need to pay the full amount again. The receptionist was not very friendly at first and said that this was not their problem, which felt quite stressful after a long journey. ”The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. ”

”Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. ”Large bedroom and recently modernised en-suite. All clean and tidy. Nice and warm (4 day stay in January). Breakfasts were excellent and the food available for the evening meals in the pub part of the hotel was also good. All of the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The car park is big. Breakfast does not start until 7.30am. You order it from the menu the night before and it was always ready for 7.30 for me, but I was there on business it left me quite tight for getting to my meeting...

”We booked the cottage and were so glad we did. The photos although good, don’t really do it justice. The bedroom opens out onto a spacious balcony with good quality wooden table and chairs. The view is very serene, as you can see the river. The hot tub is really amazing. It was very clean and we were shown how to use it properly. If anything it was a little hot at 40c. It kept this heat for several hours. Bathroom was beautiful. Living room immaculate. And a 2nd bathroom with toilet and shower....

”Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel.”
