”Beautiful apartment, had everything we needed for a one night stay and a close walk to city centre, would definitely stay again.”

”2rd stay at this hotel. Refused upgrade said not available. Had to argue for a 1 1/2 hour late checkout we did get a one hour late( why not give the extra 1/2 hour we asked for. No free parking mentioned. We never ate at this hotel too expensive. The bar is small and difficult to find a seat except spillover in hall. Bar staff were very nice but to busy to talk and drinks were crazy expensive. The bathroom sink only produced scalding hot water or cold.😡 For a five star we expected better...

”Positives - Good location for York; great showers and comfortable bed. Negatives - only breakfast option is continental breakfast served in room, though room facilities to do this minimal. No communal space for a drink etc other than a small unwelcoming area between the front door and the reception hatch, which offered a very small range of self serve drinks. More a place to sleep than a place to stay.”

”We stayed in the Bootham suite, the room was light and airy and had a lovely small balcony to enjoy the sunshine. The four poster bed was very comfy and there was a small seating area to relax in. Breakfast was very good, everything is a la carte and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is in a great location, very easy walking distance into York but also very quiet and peaceful. The Pantry is a really nice touch but it was a shame that there wasn't a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool....

”We stayed in York at the Indigo for two nights, the room was clean and spacious, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy to access and nearby. Location wise the hotel is very close to everything albeit in a town where everything is within an easy 10-15 minute walk max.”

”Your classic inn with worn down rooms and most basic breakfast. Uninterested staff who coukdn’t care less that there were BLOOD STAINS on the rug of our room. Got another room which after confirming two times was not similar than the bloody one we left behind. ”

” I loved everything about Judges and would stay there again in a heartbeat! I stayed in a Character Double room. It was extremely spacious, had comfy bed and pillows, a view of the Minister, and a bath to soak in. The amenities are very well thought out and made me feel cared for (fluffy robe and slippers, washcloths, complimentary sparkling water and chocolates, quality bathroom products, and eye mask and earplugs - didn't need them because it was very quiet at night). ”The staff were very helpful & friendly. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but very clean and the bed very comfortable. The dressing table has no lamp or light nearby, so it is hard to get ready, appying make up as the bathroom light isn't great either. There is a pub across the road which played loud music until 2am plus lots of noise outside first thing because of the main road. Saying that, we enjoyed our stay . The hotel is in a great location close to the sites if you don't mind the noise....
