Majatalot – York

”Booked here as a stopover on the way to Thoresby hall from Scotland as it was only a short drive off the motorway. We booked bed and breakfast at a very good price and we also had an evening meal. Both meals were great and the room even had an air con unit which was fantastic in the hot weather. The place was great value for money and we will certainly be back, can't thank the staff enough who were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Well done and we hope to be back soon.”

”Travelling solo for Ramblers purposes for 2 nights, it was a pleasure staying here, luxury accommodation, all those nice little extras in the rooms, like a big TV, Nespresso coffee maker, complementary bottles of water, biscuits etc. Things you miss a lot nowadays when you stay in budget big chain hotels. Ravintolapalvelut ja pub saman katon alla. Ravintolassa hyvät ruoat ja niinkuin aina aamiainen lähes täydellinen. Pubissa paikallisia bittereitä ja aleja. Aikaa nähnyt rakennus, pienet narinat ja kaltevat lattiat kuuluvat lähes kaikkiin vastaaviin hotelleihin, joten se on otettava ominaisuutena ei vikana.”

”Staff were “above & Beyond”! The bar, rooms and food for was excellent the team really looked after us! The rooms were clean & quirky & really spacious and the bathroom was superb We were blessed with the weather and York & Yorkshire are full of friendly people ”

”The hotel was in a very convenient location for visiting the Shambles and city core. We found the room itself to be a bit rough in terms of amenities. The stall shower was on the small side for me, but the hot water came quickly and didn’t run out. Our biggest complaint was that the TV signal was not stable (kept glitching out) and the room never really cooled down in the evening (no A/C). Granted, we were there during a record heat wave.
