”We were walking The Dales Way and arrived on a very wet Sunday afternoon. The staff at the pub were extremely welcoming and reserved us a table for dinner. The shepherds hut was lovely and cosy (underfloor heating), exactly what we needed after a long wet walk! The breakfast hamper was very welcome too.”

”Lovely little place. Warm and clean. Comfy bed, decent shower, comfy settee in bedroom. Tiny kitchen, but has kettle, toaster, microwave and fridgefreezer, so great for heating things up. Very helpful and communicative host. Quiet village but pub 100m away serving real ale...”

”The lodge and location was outstanding. Situated on Heron Lakes looking across one of the 6 lakes on site with stunning views. Great location to get to the coast and plenty to do on site with walked, bike trails and of course fishing! Great short break away and will be staying here again.
