”As we didn’t book direct with the hotel we weren’t allowed to use the pool. We were told we had to pay £12 per day to use the car park despite the website saying it is £10 per night. We asked for some food for the room, this was delivered in a paper bag, even though we’d seen in the corridor trays left out with plates, knives and forks, and sauces. We received “take away” type containers with wooden knives and forks, no sauces. Due to my food intolerances I was very specific about my order, my...

”Overall an OK stay but not worth the price tag. Visited at half term, hotel appeared under prepared. All staff were helpful and polite but clearly under staffed so not necessarily their fault. Room not ready 2 hours after check-in, walkways not maintained, dirty glasses and plates with food on outside a lot of rooms. 1 bath robe in the room for 3 guests, toilet in the room didn't flush and whole bathroom in need of basic repairs. Bar/restaurant stopped taking food orders at 7:20pm in school...

”We stayed a week in this property. It was an easy walk from the train station and to all of York center. The Wall walk was close by too, as were a few amazing churches and local old pubs. The property felt safe. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. A good supply of teas, coffee & milk plus detergents, washer sheets and cleaning supplies were provided. The bathroom was very small but clean and perfectly adequate. Soap & shampoo was supplied too. There were wall heaters which we did not...

Leeds Centre by Charles Hope

”The apartment was good, but the company took a 100 GBP damage deposit (it was supposed to be a hold but the money was debited from my account). They then claimed not to have actually taken the money (despite evidence to the contrary) and despite acknowledging the need to return the damage deposit claim to have done so without actually having done so (because they claim it was just a hold). Communication with them is extremely poor because it is largely through an AI assistant - and when you...
