âWe stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges.
There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room
The building could do with some refurbishment
The views and gardens are beautiful
The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble
The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank youâ

âPersonal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotelâ

âImpressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate.â

âThe first night was noisy a car came into car park at 2am and was blasting music out and guest or two banging doors and knocking on door
The second night was better. Only a two night stay for an event.
Housekeeping on Saturday did not replace complimentary tea and coffee bin not emptied and beds not straightened up after 1st night.
It's basic no thrills hotel. Also lift out of order.â

âA superb hotel for the price which was significantly lower than similar options in the locality.
I made a mistake leaving a shirt and jeans in my room after leaving, the staff were incredibly helpful in assisting me in getting the items posted back to my house - really went the extra mile.
Great value, great location, great staff.â

âIt was a lovely room and the staff were great. My only criticism I have is I paid for a room with view of the park-i didn't feel this was fulfilled. I could see one enclosure but otherwise it was of the outdoor seating area, the park entrance and all the work that was been done. I would have also thought that when checking in I would be asked if I wanted to visit the park as there was no option when booking to add a park visit. The food was great, the staff were super friendly.â
