”Staff were really helpful, position of the property was great for us and we really enjoyed it. It did need some repairs in a few areas which apparently are getting sorted. Overall I would certainly use the hotel again. Food was also v good.”

”Brilliant view to the roof of the hotel with a massive cooling fan making noise all night. Not so nice actually. Restaurant is complicated and for a tourist a bit uncomfortable. The staff doesn't really make contact with you and you don't know when to order, where to order, how to pay etc.
It's a time machine. Stuck somewhere in 90's /2000. But clean at least and location is nice.”

”My stay at the Mercure suited me perfectly. I was close to the train station so I could easily walk up & travel to Glasgow, and also have a pleasant stroll along the promenade. The polite barman ensured I had a nice glass of wine to relax at the end of the day. The reception staff gave me a cheery welcome back wave me when I returned in the evening. But the highlight was the seagulls' nest right outside my bedroom window and seeing the 3 babies being cared for by their parents. In general, a...

”Stayed for couple of nights in rm 19 which was modernised and had a Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom which made my day.
Bed was comfy, room was clean, large tv for whoever is interested in this, kettle, plenty coffee and tea.
Roo. Was quiet, location just across from the ferry, the building itself was stunning.
Electric heaters in the room and you can adjust the temperature and a fan for cooling down.
I haven't used the bar or restaurant. I have asked if they served meals and been told 'is...

”Nice place to stay, train station is a 5 minute walk. Food options and friendly people.
Coming from the airport… do NOT take a taxi. 757 bus to Paisley, then train to Greenock central. A LOT cheaper than taxi.”

”The hotel review rating is overrated in my opinion. The hallway to our room smelled aweful. The carpet in the room was stained a lot and seemed not been vacuumed. There were dark hair on the bedding and pillow. The restroom had many dark spots between the tiles especially at the shower. Everything seemed outdated. The parking infront of the entrance was good though. The breakfast was not good at all either. Food tasted bland and bacon was cold. Nothing fresh of vegetables or fruits. ”
