”Stayed for one night in Motel One. Really enjoyed the hotel. Situated near the town center and really easy to walk everywhere. The room was simple and clean but had everything that I needed. My view from the room was to the parking place but for one night that didn't mind me. The breakfest was good and plenty of choice. The reception and bar area was very modern and nice! Really enjoyed my stay in Newcastle and would really recommend Motel One! Value for money!”

”We stayed for one week due to a conference trip. - The biggest negative comes from the very stinking room. Even though the air conditioning was effective you can't air the room as windows don't open. All the clothes smell really bad now - The bed very noisy and uncomfortable. Anytime anyone moved in the bed it made a loud noise, woke up for that several times in the night, also had very uncomfortable pillows. - The sheets had stains - Not noise proof room as advertised in the room description!...

”It is a good hotel. We had great stay. Room and fridge was good. We just had our room double booked, right after we checked in someone else had checked in to the same room. That was cleared quickly but the our keys did not work after so had to get them done again. Town is close by 20 min walk and metro stop less than 10min walk.”

”Everybody helpful and friendly. We had a dog with us, and that was not a problem to anyone nice bar to eat in with him. Lovely grounds and view so easy to take dog out for a little walk. Hotel, particularly good for walkers as they were happy to dry their boots in front of the fire overnight for them. Highly recommend it.”

”I travelled up from London and needed somewhere to stay close to Bamburgh castle. I booked Purdy Lodge. It was close to everywhere I wanted to visit. The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with lovely views of the countryside and Bamburgh castle. The food in the restaurant was amazing. I have no complaints at all with my stay at Purdy Lodge and will definitely stay again the next time I come to Bamburgh. ”
