”We had already stayed at the Nous Hotel in Santorini in October 2023 and were completely satisfied at the time. That is exactly why we decided to book the hotel again for 5 nights during our trip in May 2026. Unfortunately, upon arrival we quickly realized that not much was left of the hotel we had experienced in 2023.
Overall, the hotel no longer feels well maintained – at least not at the level one would expect from a 5-star hotel. In many areas, it feels like costs are being cut. One example...

”Palvelu oli ystävällistä ja proaktiivista. Uima-allas oli tämän hotellin kohokohta. Myös tilava huone teki vierailusta miellyttävän. Pientä miinusta siitä, että huoneeseen kantautui jonkin verran melua tieltä, ja hotellin välittömässä ympäristössä ei ollut juurikaan nähtävää tai tekemistä. Positiivisena puolena hotelli tarjosi ilmaisia kuljetuksia bussilla kaupunkiin ja takaisin. Hotellin ravintola oli hieman hintava, mutta aamiainen oli ihan kelpo.”

”This hotel was impeccable. The staff was absolutely amazing. Very kind, helpful and accommodating.
The breakfast buffet was delicious and the restaurant within the hotel was extraordinary.
We stayed in the Niki Villa. The views of the caldera were breathtaking. The hot tub on the upper deck of the unit was perfect to wind down at night after long days of exploring the island. ”This is a beautiful property set in the caldera of Santorini. The rooms are built into the cliff. The service is amazing. The views are amazing. The food was amazing.
So why the two stars? Reject Rooms 38 and 39. Don’t accept them if they put you there. Every tourist on the island will be at your doorstep.
