”Cumbria exceeded my expectations staff friendly welcoming helpful breakfast was excellent well supervised buffet style My Room was spacious bed comfortable well stocked tea coffee making facilities plenty of storage decor was well kept Bar and lounge relaxing Staff all round were lovely people Made my every happy one Thank you Hooe to return of and when up this way again 😃👍”

”Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to share as when we realized it was too late to request...

”No advanced notice that lift wasn't working. No ideal with 2 guest with mobility issues and 3 flights of stairs yo rooms. Also found it odd that there's no secondary glazing for noise in room but yet there was in restataunt. Breakfast was average but bacon hard and overcookec under heat lights. Didn't have the best of choices. All in all very average stay”

”I got a parking charge from Brittania parking for the final day at the IBIS. Parking should have been paid by the hotel. Having received the charge IBIS were unable to help.”

”A welcoming and helpful check-in at this stunning Victorian hotel right next to the train station and shops. The rooms were spotlessly clean and cosy with comfy beds, full of amenities. The staff were friendly. Thanks again! (also for storing my mountain bike) :)”

”We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!”

”Very nice staff. Straight forward public house atmosphere. Beer tasting and band playing downstairs well into the evening, but not a significant issue. Nice breakfast and really beautiful surroundings.”

”Basic clean accommodation. Excellent host a genuinely friendly good man, nothing was too much trouble. Full English breakfast was included and was spot on. Very hard to fault for the price. Parking is remote from the property and is in a private car park. It looks a bit shady but 2 motor bikes were there overnight without issue.”
