”The room was comfortable and the bedding was immaculate, the attention to detail was lacking in that surfaces were dusty, the tea and coffee facility was sparce and empty milk jigger left amongst fresh supply. Bathroom was functional apart from toilet seat which was a bit wobbly. All in all we had a comfortable stay. The hotel is tired and needs some tlc.”

”Great room, the suite was really spacious and clean. Nice decor, the balcony was good on a hot day. The squeaky bedroom floor was really annoying but didn't effect our stay in any way really. Lots of parking available and reception staff very helpful. One thing we didnt realise is that they offer reduced rates to hawkstone follies which we didnt know pre arrival. We had a drink in both bars and staff were very nice at both.”

”The staff in general didn’t look at all happy working there. Not once did we hear a good morning or evening from the reception staff or others around the hotel. The restaurant was ok, the food itself wasn’t brilliant and the service was not what we had experiences on our previous visits to Wychwood Park Hotel. Sorry to say but with such a nice hotel the whole experience was well below par.”

”Unfortunately we discovered evidence of moth larvae under the bedside cabinets and curtains showing as threadbare carpet. Google AI confirmed larvae infestation. We saw a moth in the room which lead us to investigating. The Housekeeper assured us it was historical as are the cobwebs in the same area. We have discussed this with the Manager and he has given us a partial refund. We were offered a room change but the timing didn't work for us and the hotel was full. Our decision not to move is...
