”Our first impression of the unit was great. Spartan, but well-chosen decor. The TV in the living room was too complicated for us. That got us out and about more. There were no towel rods in the bathroom. The layout for the unit was odd, but we like that. The kitchen had all the necessary gadgets. We enjoyed our stay.”

”This place was wonderful, highly recommended. I ended up staying just over a week and needed to extend for a few days. Luckily it was available and the owner was really responsive and helpful. It was truly a home away from home. Super comfortable, very clean, had everything we needed and we cooked every meal. We really loved this place. ”The apartment was very cute and stylish. A great repurpose of an industrial building. We enjoyed being in downtown Houghton and being able to walk to restaurants, stores and bars. Our car was able to be parked in a parking lot across the street from the apartment so it was easy to get out of town to explore the Keweenaw. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Houghton.”

”Were totally blindsided by the outside stairs to access the apartment. We are 79 years old and it was difficult to get our suitcases etc. up the stairs in a safe manner. We did like the fact that the property was clean and well equipped. Dishwasher worked well - coffeepot was adequate. There is a washer and a dryer although we didn't need those. We would have liked information on how to use the television/cable remotes. A neighbor had to show us how to use them. Bring ear plugs for the street...

”Can’t rave enough about the accommodations at Stella’s Hideaway! Everything was well stocked, clean and comfortable beds. The views were great, the rocks were even better! The location was perfect for checking out mine tailings and heading up to copper harbor. Calumet has a really tasty coffee shop and cute stores. We stayed for 4 nights and found lots of agates and even some lake worn copper to add to our ever growing rock collection. Sifted through mine tailings and found some greenstone...
