”Room was nice enough but not practical ..... lighting was poor, there were no bedside cabinets, there was no dressing table, there was one easy chair and one stool (it was a double room so why not two chairs) bath/shower not guest friendly, the bath plug/drain did not drain properly which resulted in my having to stand in very hot scalding water for my shower and getting bright red feet as a result, there was no toilet brush either which is a basic hygiene matter. Bar etc was comfortable enough...

”Really central location for visiting and exploring Chester. Nice rooms, helpful staff and nice breakfast. Music does go on till 11 at weekends but it’s turned down around 10”

”First impressions in walking into the hotel were superb, modern, bright & clean with really helpful & pleasant staff. The bar & food were also really good, excellent food & service with drinks very reasonably priced. However the room was very dated & not that clean, certainly needs a refresh, & this was a canal side balcony room on the fifth floor with a jacuzzi bath. The balcony itself was dirty, with loose flags & large cobwebs not somewhere that nice to sit out on & this was middle of...

”Modern standard room with comfortable bed and in a great location. 5 mins walk from the city centre. Staff very pleasant with a decent breakfast choice and quality. Parking at £10 per day is reasonable as it is so close to city centre.”
