Huvilat – Alexandria Bay

”We got exactly what we wanted. A room with a beautiful view of the River and Bolt castle. The resort was very clean and well staffed. The only problem we had was timing. We got there a week late. Everyone had left and nothing was open. Maybe next year we will visit the castle. Alex bay is a ghost town after October 15.”

”We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Sparrow" cottage. It was very clean and just the right size for the two of us. The entire property at The Ledges was kept up with the utmost of care. Situated by the docks made just sitting and watching boats and birds a delight. The location is very near the downtown area where all the restaurants and shops are. ”We stayed in the Finch and loved it. Bed was super comfy and the shower is divine! I love the care and thoughtfulness that is put into every aspect of the cottages and the grounds. There is everything you need for cooking and a dishwasher! We brought our two small dogs, and we enjoyed exploring the property, especially by the docks. The fall decor is grogeous. Each cottage had its own pumpkin, firepit with supplied wood, kindling and Adirondack chairs, and outdoor table area. I highly recommend...

”This place had a 7.6 rating. I have no idea why. I was traveling alone & arrived at night. To say this place gave me the creeps doesn't cover how I felt. Even the Office was under lock & key to register. The owner was intimidating & the room was less than bare minimum. I will never go there again. The Royal was a short distance away & I wish I had stayed there. BEWARE.”

”The listing missed mentioning how many stairs there are . I don't do steps well. Otherwise the apartment was very nice. I have never paid that much for housecleaning so that is a negative in my book.”
