”Beautiful property with tasteful decor and a real homely feel. The car park is a real convenience right beside the hotel. Our room was immaculate and with a very large, very comfortable bed. A gorgeous view of the hills from the window really set the scene. The room also had a bath which was a bonus. Breakfast was delightful and with a good variety of options, including avocado sourdough toast. A brief walk into the centre of Ambleside to the bars and restaurants, not far at all. ”The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.”

”All was great, except we thought we had paid for an upgraded room. While it did have a balcony, it overlooked the parking lot rather than the village, with a tight configuration at the window. One staff member was particularly helpful, giving us great advice on hikes.”

”Everything was amazing and so easy. Received great instructions the day before check in with videos etc. The check in process was a doddle, as was checkout. The comms via whats app was so efficient. I requested the chance of a later check out and they managed to extend this to 11:30 no questions asked. Room was stunning, bed was SO comfortable and it was less than a 10 minute walk into Ambleside. Also highly reccommend the stone baked pizza hut next door - AMAZING!!!! Would most certainly...

”Love this hotel. Great for parking, staff very professional but engaging and genuine. Room very clean and plenty room. Our room was a garden room. If the weather had been kind to us we would have sat out on our patio. Gardens are well maintained and pretty. Bus stop nearby to get easily into Ambleside. Breakfast was good and plenty choice. Our stay was sooo nice booked again for this August. ❤️”

”We were returning customers to Low wood bay @ the winander club. We were slightly disappointed to see that spa access was no longer included in Winander rooms but it is a beautiful spa, so we paid the extra £140. We were disappointed to find out if you wanted to borrow some slippers for the spa, they were also chargeable now. And on check out I was very shocked to see they were also now charging £12 per day to park your car if you hadn’t booked directly with them. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed...

”Excellent property with high standard of finish and decoration. Very warm despite the cold weather outside. The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. Everything was great and we can’t wait to return. ”
