”Parking was easy and free in their lot beside the hotel. Checking in was a breeze, and we were granted early access to our room, since it had already been cleaned. The staff was courteous and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the ice water (with lemon or orange slices in it) and coffee available in the lobby all day for free. ”Perfect spot for our weekend in Georgetown! Baxter was a great host and was incredibly helpful and nice. The rooms were clean and well kept, and the proximity to the waterfront couldn’t be beat. The beer and soda were also fantastic! ”

”Nice hotel - probably the most expensive in the area and I stay here frequently. Even though the televisions are connected wrong in the one bedroom suites - which is incredibly stupid! But last night there were drunks fighting in the hall and slamming doors on the 4th floor after midnight. Called the desk and there is no security for the hotel - one woman on duty, alone. She said I could call the police. A place with $300 rooms should provide security, and I will not stay there again.”

”Rooms were dirty with dirty floors. Everything looked neglected. Bathrooms were poorly equipped, rusty faucets, broken sinks, etc. Air/heat units were on the edge of going out, noisy and had to move rooms because one did not work.”

”This is an old boarding house with great history. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. A code is given to get into the front door and for your assigned room. We did have problems getting into our room but once i figured out who to call, she took care of it quick. Very close to Back Woods . ”

”I’ll start by saying that Dora at the front desk was wonderful! Very helpful and very friendly. There were serious plumbing problems that were going on Saturday morning but even though Dora was working alone that morning she took great care of us and got us moved to a new room. The part of our stay that was very disappointing was the “continental breakfast”. I know continental breakfasts are not fancy spreads, but some fruit, instant oatmeal and yogurt cups would have been wonderful. Coffee,...

”As soon as we walked it several roaches crawled across our floor. Went to front desk and nobody answered. The furniture was also broken and damaged. And the shower was horrible. Hotel looks nothing like the photos. WILL NOT BE BOOKING AGAIN!!”

”The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. If you don’t like something about the room they’re polite enough to clean it or give you a better room. Great service!”
