”We go to Asilomar once a year around this time and have stayed in several different places right outside of the Asilomar grounds. Deer Haven was the best of all of them. My husband was in the ER on the day we were supposed to arrive, so we lost our first day there and, of course, couldn't get a refund at the last minute. ”We stayed there two nights during our roadtrip. The hotel was quite nice. We had to be in contact to the hotel beforehand several times, since the reception closes already at 5pm. The rooms were spacious but a bit worn out, our friends bathroom door was stucked, but luckily the staff was still there when it happened. There was an odd moldy odour in the room. Otherwise the location was good, near the ocean and Monterey and the center of Pacific Grove can be easily reached by bus or by car. ”
