”The hotel looks spectacular when you arrive. On check-in the staff were polite, seemed a little fed up everyday thereafter. The restaurant is something that should be avoided at all costs unless you like eating uninspiring, bland overpriced food (£60 for 2 people and I would have expected something that looked and tasted like some heart had gone into it). Best option was the pub at the end of the drive or a takeaway!! Breakfast was free - that was nice because I would not have paid for it! We...

”We would not have booked here if we had known the Saturday breakfast was 9am to 10am. There is no information about breakfast times on the booking process. The TV was totally unusable as I do not have a modern PhD. I simply could not understand all this internet stuff. The Wifi speed was slow, less than 1mbps. Besides that, clean comfortable room, excellent real beer in the bar.”

”Excellent quite property with first rate modern amenities but with old historic feel from the hard work by the owners to bring back a luxurious comfortable English Manor House feel. I will be returning in the future and enjoy the place. All the details gave me the best night sleep that I can remember.”

”Lisa was very thorough and explained everything. She also suggested me the good restaurant and places to visit. Enjoyed my stay”

”The overall aesthetic was awesome but the rooms need proper cleaning cobwebs are visible in the roof The cleanliness is something to be looked into Overall I liked the place and room”

”Good place”

”Everything about the Hotel was excellent. Lovely, friendly, very helpful staff, compty bed and room, clean and with coffee/tea/biscuits provided. Breakfast was first class, trout with poached eggs were perfect, Trish went above and beyond to help us with my disabled husband, she even collected our cases from our room and a staff member took and loaded them into our car. Would certainly stay here again.”

”The room was clean but it needs some updating. The bed was old and bathroom window needs to be covered from the light.”

”We were only there for a stopover. The house was lovely and the host was very accommodating. They were very thoughtful and we appreciated it!”

”Iso huone baarin yläpuolella. Baarin puolelta kuului musiikki hyvin, mutta loppui kymmenen aikaan illalla.”

”700 vuotta vanha, aina majatalona ollut hotelli. Elämyksellinen, historiallinen paikka.”
